Your platform is built, staff are trained, reception and registration areas are built. Lets get ready to open.
The end of the build phase is in sight and the final steps to perform is the commissioning of the site. This is a critical step where we provide a complete audit to make sure can open a 100% safe Bungy Jump. We will go through everything with you to make sure that you have all of the correct forms in place for your reporting and recording, we will do a complete walk through of the site making sure everything from the safety barriers, signage to emergency equipment is in place. We exam your staff to ensure they have all of the knowledge they need to act in a safe and responsible manner, ensuring they do indeed know how all of the equipment works, exactly the procedures for daily, weekly and monthly checks.
In short, the site commissioning is a complete top to bottom check up with completion certification that says you are ready to open.
When providing commissioning, these are our key areas of focus:
Maybe you already have a design in mind? For our Xbungy partners, we have blueprints for jumping structures that already proven and meet the considerations of most jump sites. These can be constructed locally or pre-built and shipped directly to your site for installation.
We understand that you may also have your own additional requirements for your site, you may wish to tie in the jumping platform with existing infrastructure and activities that you already have, or you may also wish to make your jumping structure suitable for additional activities as well.
If you don’t wish to use one of our pre-designed structures, then as an Xbungy partner we can assist you with your own design and provide advice on the likely costs, critical design decisions (safety space, steel vs s/steel, customers per hour) as well as any potential pitfalls with the design. With our experience at Xbungy we can also assist with the usual requirements that are required for construction permits and licencing of your site as well as providing you with the specialist platform equipment that you will need right the way through to the required signage and safety requirements of your structure.
As part of your build process, Xbungy are able to assist in the oversight of the construction right the way through to the first jumps at your site.
Whilst the construction of the jump structure is the most complex and important piece to get right, we also provide advice on what you need for the ancillary pieces. What storage do you need on site? how much space is required for reception, registration and getting ready for jumping? Video systems, POS systems, electronic waiver, reporting and metric systems that you will need to get the most out of your business.
Whilst the most important factor with any Bungy Jump is keeping your customer safe, you are also running a business. With the Xbungy system we provide everything that you need to help ensure that your site is not only safe but is profitable.
We can provide real case studies that show you exactly what to expect in terms of you real costs and levels of expected revenue. The Xbungy system is designed to minimize your costs and maximize your revenue. We assist with sponsorship and endorsement of your site, local and national advertising strategies, marketing materials, competitor analysis as well as additional revenue opportunities.
The Xbungy system, processes, procedures, reporting and metrics help you run the most efficient jump site possible,
Do you have a location already? Is it a good location? Indeed, what even makes a good location for Bungy Jumping?
Each location has its own specific challenges, often remote areas have the natural beauty of the surroundings and a lower start up cost, but may well be further away from your potential customers.
The proposed location will have a major impact on your jumping structure and design, particularly when you are looking at the number of customers per hour you can service as well as power and utilities that may or may not even be available.
Are there other activities in the area that also help draw customers to your site? Do you even have enough space to safely have a Bungy Jump – not just in terms of the height but also the required safety spaces around the jump area.
Location, is just your starting point we help advise you and research the area. This is literally the foundation of your business.
Since Bungy Jumping emerged in the 80’s as an extreme exciting sport there have been many changes and advancements in the manufacture of Bungy Cords. The original cords used, were really not very forgiving on the body and the lifespan of ropes was severely limited.
Thailand is one of the leading producers worldwide of latex rubber, we are fortunate in that we have a large ready supply of base materials and an extrusion plant just 40 kilometers from our jump site where we can inspect and check the manufacture of the raw extruded latex following the process almost from the time it leaves the tree!
Not all latex is created equal. Whilst the rubber maybe the same regardless, the thread count, count number and post production process treatments vary widely. Latex only has a shelf life for Bungy Jumping of 12 months, so an important part of the process is ensuring that your raw material is as fresh as possible, this gives you the longest possible shelf life for your Bungy Cords. Unlike other manufacturers, we guarantee that when you receive your cords the time from tree to your jump site is never more than three months.
We purchase rubber in huge quantities extruded to our specific requirements, coating it with Silicon to decrease friction between strands making for a longer production life and safer ropes for your customers. This allows us to ensure that the rubber provides as much consistency as possible. It all comes from the same batch and is specifically made for us, we never have to rely on using stock rubber originally destined for making underwear.
As the European Summer starts to come to then end, you would think that it would be time for the staff to slow down a little with the rope making, but as the Summer ends in Europe we start getting ready for high season across Asia.
